My 60+ pound journey to get fit and healthy, while still enjoying good food and life!

Wednesday August 26, 2009

I am thrilled to begin this journey of total transformation that I have longed for to transform my body for so many years.

I love to cook. I am writing a cookbook, have taught gourmet Kosher cooking classes and love to enjoy the fine food that I prepare and the food that others prepare. I am a busy mother of five beutiful children ranging in age from 5-19, a modern orthodox Kosher Jew who is surrounded by Sabbath and Holiday food preparation, along with my obsession of making and eating the freshest best tasting food.

I did not grow up religious or Kosher, unlike people who have been limited to only kosher restaurants throughout their lives, I know what authentic international and true gourmet is. My palate is very refined and I love developing recipes.

Okay, so now that brings me to what I want to acomplish with this blog. I named it "Tasty Transformation" because so many people struggle with staying on any diet program because of deprivation!! I am guilty of that more times then I can remember. If I can help people, including my own family as well as my self in the process. We will win this battle together- transform our bodies while enjoying amazing food!

I wil include my daily, and sometimes weekly, entries, successes and struggles along the way. Additionally, I will share recipes with you that I love and hopefully you will too!

I have started a workout regimen using Jillian Michaels' videos along with walking. During the past 4 weeks, I have alternated with Jillian's "No More Trouble Zones" and "Burn Fat Boost Metabbolism". One focuses more on strength training and the other on cardio. Admitedly, they are tough, but I already see and feel the changes in my body. My strength is increasing, and my my body is showing signs of shrtinking and increased muscle tone!

My Confession:

I have also started on the "Isagenix Nutritional Cleansing and Fat Burning Program".

Having been an Isagenix Executive distributor for a few years, I have witnessed incredible transformations of so many people's health and weight loss. I believe in the products, I just never believed that I could stick with the program myself due to my love affair with food.

I have even been able to achieve a six figure income from home despite my own personal failure to transform my own body. That chapter in my life has just ended. Mediocrity will no longer do for me. I am a role model for my children and all of my Isagenix family, I only will be a shining example of everything that Isagenix represents and how I want my own children to live, a vibrantly healthy, fit and happy life.

I will incorporate the Isagenix program into my lifestyle and make it work fro me in an enjoyable and tasty way that is truly satisfying and worthy of staying on for life.

1 month ago I weighed in at 213 pounds. My goal is a healthy 140- 145 pounds, fit and still enjoying the food that I love.

Isagenix will allow me to do just that through the vehicle of Nutritional Cleansing. I will explain more about Nutritional Cleansing on a different post very soon. I weighed in this morning at 207 pounds, WOW, I lost 6 pounds since starting my workout regimen and incorporating 2 Isalean shakes every day!

Today I am starting a great way to help jumpstart my success. I am doing a Nutritional Cleanse day. My goal is to become not just slimmer, but a lot healthier too. As reported in the October 2006 issue of "National Geographic", Our bodies are being bombarded dailywith a multitude of toxins that are not only affecting our immune systems, but are inhibiting our bodies from shedding excess fat.

Nutritional cleansing is the Missing Link to for a healthier body and sustained weight loss.

My goal is to do 2-4 cleanse days each month. I invite you to join me today!

Recipes will soon be included in my posts!

Thank you for joining me on my tasty journey to success!

Make it a a great day,

Karen
